Today I have two very gorgeous polishes from
Femme Fatale to show you. They are the Colour of the Month (COTM) and Fiend of the Month (FOTM) for July 2018. The Fiend of the Month is named for Femme Fatale's Facebook fan group,
Femme Fatale Fiends, and is exclusive to group members.
I have details on pricing and how to purchase at the end of the post.

Coniferae (COTM) is a subtle multichrome full of translucent colour-changing flakies and scattered holo. It has an olive-green base that contrasts beautifully with a purple-magenta-orange shift. Together this is a multifaceted polish that changes in different lighting and angles. In most of my swatch photos (indirect sunlight / natural light), it is a chartreuse-cedar base with a purple glow, offset with pops of colour from the red-orange-green flakies. I think my photos manage to show the complexity of this polish where words fail me!

Autumn Aspens (FOTM) has a greyed-out crelly base with a glowy purple shimmer that is the perfect reminder of a glistening snowy landscape. It has speckles of smaller glitter in a variety of colours, and is generously dotted with larger hex-shaped matte glitters in sun-yellow and apple-red that look exactly like crisp autumn leaves.
In these pictures I have used 2 coats, with the first being very thin, and the second a little thicker with the brush closely parallel to my nail. I let the first layer dry before applying the next, and I had no dragging with the glitter. Formula was smooth, easy, and buttery without being thick, and I had no issues with placement nor fishing with the larger glitters. I used 2 layers of
Tonic Topper, which is my go-to quick dry top coat to smooth out the polish. One layer of top coat would have worked fine in my opinion, I just have a sensory dislike of textured nails so I always go for a super smooth finish.

In natural shade or indirect sunlight, Autumn Aspens looks like a pastel lavender base, but in more direct light like the photos below, you can see the ethereal purple shimmer burst off the nail. It makes for a very beautiful polish.
