Polish Pickup August 2018 / 3 Words One Song from Emily de Molly - Swatch & Review

After the month of July off, the Polish Pickup is resuming in August with the theme of 'Musicals'. Emily de Molly have picked Disney's 'Frozen'. 3 Words, One Song is described as "a pale purple with strong turquoise overlay, iridescent flakes and silver holographic micro glitters."

Purchase information will be at the bottom of the post!

3 Words, One Song was easy to apply, and like 99% of the other Emily de Molly polishes I own, a two-coat formula. I tested out an extra coat but the polish lost the sheerness that made it so ethereal as the shimmer overwhelmed the rainbow flakes and glitter.

As per usual, I let each thin layer dry before adding another to avoid any dragging. After a layer of top coat you can still feel the edges of the larger flakes but it looks fine and mostly smooth. I have used 2 layers of Tonic Topper here.

Out of curiosity, I also have photographed this polish at over black as a topper, where the turquoise shimmer really makes a dramatic statement, and at one coat, which I think is still very pretty. I could see myself wearing the polish either of these alternate ways.
